The hospital provides a 10-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 12-bed Cardiac Care Unit (CCU), 8-bed step down unit (for CABG patients) and a 28-bed telemetry unit so that each heart patient can receive the appropriate level of care.

Cardiac Rehab
Cardiac care is offered for inpatients and outpatients through the cardiopulmonary rehab program. Inpatients receive education and exercise instruction from qualified nurses and physical therapists, and dietary evaluations from registered dieticians when appropriate.

Cardiac Cath Lab
The Cardiac Cath Lab at Forest Park Hospital is staffed to provide 24-hour coverage for emergency cases. Cardiologists in the lab use some of the latest in radiographic digital equipment, which allows them to view images "tableside." The equipment produces crisp images and reduces the amount of radiation exposure to patients, staff and physicians.

Cardiac Catheterization
Provides specialized diagnostic services in our new, technologically advanced Cardiac Cath Lab. Includes evaluation and treatment of coronary artery disease (treated with balloon angioplasty and/or coronary stent placement). Other procedures performed in the lab are evaluation of valvular disease and cardiomyopathy and placement of temporary or permanent placemakers.
