June 11, 2008
On the afternoon of Wednesday, June 11, 2008, employees held a pep rally in support of the hospital. Employees expressed their pride, loyalty and commitment to our mission, sharing all the reasons why they love Forest Park Hospital. Rev. Doris Ford-Brown opened the event with impassioned comments that rallied the crowd. The group enjoyed music, snow cones and popcorn, and gave spirited stories of why they continue to stay “in the family” (of FPCH). Troy Jones provided fun music therapy for all, and distributed percussion instruments to the crowd that were a big hit! A patient and her family member spoke eloquently of her health issues, the wonderful care she is receiving here, and how grateful she is for that care.Members of Administration attended the rally to support the staff. Both Jordan Tenenbaum, CEO, and Mary Ann Hampton, CNO, offered words of encouragement to the crowd. EMS Chief Robert Hardy came to support the team, speaking generous words of encouragement. A representative from Mayor Francis Slay’s office voiced how important the hospital is to the City of Saint Louis. Missouri State Representative Rachel Storch and U.S. Congressman Wm. Lacy Clay’s offices both sent messages of support.
