Procedure Part II - Knee Arthroscopy

The viewing scope (arthroscope) and other instruments are inserted into the knee joint. This allows your surgeon to view the ligaments, knee disc (meniscus), knee bone (patella), lining of the joint (synovium), and the rest of the joint. Arthroscopy is also used to view the inside of the knee while ligaments or tendons are repaired from the outside. Damaged tissues are then removed.
