About The Lung Cancer Center
Patients diagnosed with lung cancer have an increasing array of treatment options available to them. Presented with conflicting advice from different physicians, patients sometimes face the difficult and stressful task of determining which approach is best for them.
The Lung Cancer Center at Forest Park Hospital is designed to make this difficult time easier on both patients and their families. Our center is led by a knowledgeable and caring team of physicians representing every medical field needed to plan your treatment program.
During your first visit, you will meet with all four members of your medical team, including a medical oncologist, a cardiothoracic surgeon, a pulmonologist and a radiation oncologist.
Together, they will work to evaluate your condition, educate you on your options and develop a treatment plan tailored to your individual needs. Your medical team will then meet regularly to evaluate your progress. If necessary, they will alter the course of treatment as your situation dictates, keeping you and your primary care physician well informed.
This multidisciplinary approach is an integral part of our goal to enhance both the length and quality of our patients’ lives.

We are sensitive to both the physical and emotional urgency of a lung cancer patient’s care. That is why we make every effort to see patients within one week of their contacting The Lung Cancer Center.
