Forest Park Hospital has a surgery suite of eight rooms, including a Heart room, two orthopedic rooms and one GU room. A 10-bed PACU and pre-op holding area is conveniently located adjacent to the surgical suite. A satellite pharmacy is located in the main operating room area. An outpatient Surgicenter is conveniently located in the Medical Office Building. The Surgicenter has three operating rooms, with hours of operation from 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Forest Park Hospital also has a surgical Intensive Care Unit, which provides care for major, extensive surgical procedures. Equipment available in the surgery department includes: laser, Stealth machine, fracture table and two Arthroscopy Video Towers. Knowledgeable, highly-trained Surgical Assistants, RNs and Scrub Technicians are dedicated to providing the best possible support services to surgeons. Anesthesiologists and CRNAs provide a variety of options for anesthesia. A Purchasing Supervisor and supply technician maintain supplies and contact vendors for additional instrumentation or equipment needed.
