James B. Rigby, an experienced health care administrator, has been named chief operating officer at Forest Park Hospital. Rigby began his new duties on Aug. 13 and reports to John W. Sanders, CEO, Forest Park Hospital.
Rigby comes to FPH from St. Mary�s Health Center in St. Louis, where he served as executive vice president/chief operating officer for the past 10 years. From 1989-91, he was president and CEO of Bethesda Care System/Bethesda Hospital in Zanesville, Ohio. Rigby also served for 16 years in a variety of positions at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, Ill., including senior vice president/chief operating officer, vice president for professional services and director of support services.
"Jim is a versatile hospital operations executive with the ability to motivate and develop individuals and teams to achieve results," said Sanders. "We're pleased to have Jim as an essential part of our administrative team."
Rigby has an MS degree in public health from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a BS in education from Truman State University in Kirksville.
