General Facts

Forest Park Hospital, with 450 licensed beds, is located in west-central St. Louis, near Forest Park and the St. Louis Zoo.

The hospital offers a wide range of medical and surgical services. Forest Park Hospital is a teaching hospital, with physicians' medical education programs and nursing education activities on site.

Located on the campus is the Deaconess College of Nursing, a physicians' medical office center, and the Centennial Pavilion. The Centennial Pavilion provides some of the college's classrooms, an event center and other facilities.

The Deaconess organization was established in St. Louis, Missouri in 1889.
