Forest Park Hospital is seeking volunteers interested in giving service to others who are caring and compassionate individuals.

Who Can Volunteer?
Adult volunteers are men and women age 18 or older. Junior volunteers are teenagers ages 14 through 17.

Why Volunteer?
Volunteering is…

 - An opportunity to serve others. Be an important part of the
   health team that provides support to patients and families.
 - Making a difference. Brighten patient and family members’
   days and provide assistance/support to other health team
   members.
 - Flexible. Work four hours a day, one or more days a week.
   Some evening and weekend hours are available.
 - Fun. Meet new people, learn new things and broaden your
   horizons. All volunteers attend an orientation and service
   position training.

Ways You Can Volunteer

 - Courier: Pick up and deliver mail to various departments.
 - Waiting Room Host/Hostess: Assist by relaying messages,
   providing refreshments and support for patients’ families.
 - Patient Mail Delivery Person: Sort and deliver patient mail.
 - Clerical Volunteer: Filing, copying and answering the phone.
 - Nursing Floor Volunteer: Assist staff who provide patient care.
 - Gift Shop Volunteer: Assist with sales and stocking shelves.
 - Front Information Desk: Greet visitors and patients, give
   directions and information.
 - Beginning Babies with Books: Visit new mothers to promote
   immunization and reading to babies.
 - Activities Volunteer: Assist with recreational activities such as bingo.
